I'm home. We left last night at 11:30ish pm, reached Fort Kent Maine in at 8am. The weather sucked to drive in, but now we are back. Instead of driving my bohemouth Suburban truck we took my sisters little station wagon. NEVER AGAIN! We got my husbands and daughters cars registered and paperwork filed. Daughter missed out on visiting with her friends, but not her fault. We did get to do some shopping done. Right now I am so fried I'm ready to go straight to bed. (I'll be back later today to post for the 14th. One more day left)

Contest Day 12

Christmas card envelopes have been address, now just need to stuff them. At least I can check one thing off my To Do list.

Looks like there's a pretty hectic week on my horizon. Starting at 11:30 tonight when we hit the road for a quick (HA) trip up to Northern Maine. I say quick becuase we won't be staying there long, but the ride to get there is 8 1/2 hours long. We'll get in early in the morning stop and check out the house, then head for breakfast somewhere. Then hitting town hall to take care of business. Next stop high school to pick up sons records. Then back to Mass another 8 1/2 hours stuck in the car.

We're hoping to be home late tomorrow night. Daughter is so excited to get to see her friends even if it is only for a couple hours. Son's not too keen on the idea, but hey not everyone can be happy at the same time.

The rest of the week is going to be spent prepping for 3, yes 3, Christmas parties where I have to bring food. I see lots of mini-cupcake and mini-muffins in my future. Not to mention the Christmas shopping I haven't done. More imortantly all those chapters I need to write.

Hubby offered to help, but with his job who knows if he's even going to be around. Hell he told me he was going to take me out to eat and that was like a month ago.

Enough whining. Here's today's hints. Let's go for something easy (since my brain is tired).

Okay I'm late again, but I have a couple really good excuses.

 First I took the niece and nephew bowling. It's our Saturday morning routine, but today when we were done I took them up the road to Border's to visit with someone special.

Then I took a trip over to my sisters to make a few T-shirts for a very good friend. While I was there I found a recipe I thought my family might like. Etoufee.

My daughter's cat really liked the sound of that. Okay so it may have been the smell, but he kept my and the hubby company while I cooked.

The hubby and boys liked it. The only comment was next time make more.

Okay so now that everyone is fed and happy, including the cat. Here's today's hints.

I had a busy day today, but I'm home now and hubby is cooking dinner. Will be watching some TV and trying to get in the mood to work on my new novella that has yet to be titled. Just heard hubby talking about dying a red stripe down the back of my daughter's Maine Coon cat. 'We could make it a hot rod cat.' As you can imagine my daughter's not too keen on the idea.

Does that give you  an idea of what I'm dealing with here?
