New Release

Stellar Heat – Now available from The Wild Rose Press

Jak of House Midori, has found his heart mate, that one person he can connect with on a soul level. Only problem is, as a twin from the planet Zaphron, Jak must share his mate with his brother. But Qwin wants to wait until they are more established in their careers as Star Flight officers.

Petty Officer, Lily Buchanan has whiplash from trying to figure out Jak's intentions. At the pub he's charming and flirtatious, but his aloof attitude on campus leaves her confused--and burning up with sexual energy.

When the three are assigned to repair a satellite in the Helix Galaxy, they are attacked by enemy star fighters. Seriously outgunned and their craft crippled, the three are stranded alone on an uncharted planet. Will Qwin agree to ease the mating fever consuming Lily, or will Jak be forced to initiate the mate-claim and exclude his brother from their union forever?

Excerpt: As Lily approached, she eyed Jak on deck in front of the ship, waiting. He must have gotten his hair cut. His midnight hair was now regulation short instead of slightly shaggy as it had been yesterday. Short or longer, his hair set off his masculine beauty. The dimple in his cheek, absent now but always prevalent when he flirted with her, softened the edge his square jaw gave him. He looked more approachable before than he did now.

His eyes matched the color of the Earthen sky, before the nuclear implosion that destroyed the atmosphere. Though she was Earthen, she'd never been there but had seen history vids in her Cultural Earthen Anthropology classes.

Jak's height, as well as his broad shoulders and thick arms, could intimidate most people, but she knew deep inside, somehow, he would never hurt her. Even on his bad days.

Oh, well, time to get this party started. "Hey, Jak. Is the pilot here yet?" Lily dropped her duffel on the ground as she looked up at him.

Jak glared down at her. "Is that how you address a senior officer, Petty Officer?"

Looked like Jak was having a bad day. Great. For her, too.

Lily snapped into a quick salute. "Petty Officer Buchanan reporting for duty, sir."

After he acknowledged her salute, she stepped back and cast a wary eye at her senior officer. A**.

Before he could reply, Lily felt a presence behind her. Heat radiated through her limbs and gathered in her belly as a voice whispered in her ear. "Glad you could make it, Flower."

Lily whirled around to see...Jak? Her attention ping-ponged from one Jak to the other. There were two?

New Office Experience

Okay a some people know I have a new office. We were focusing on getting the rest of the new apartment fixed up, and I've been working out of the living room chair. Comfy yes, been to wide open to distractions. The other day I asked for opinions on color choices for the walls. I really appreicate everyone's in put. I've decided to use my blog to journal the office remodel as we go along. I may ask for opinions here and there, because honestly I like knowing what others think.

First Up: The Before.
Yucky brown paneling on three walls, with a biege trim. The floor is yellow with blue and green flakes in it. It's all cracked and ripped so it'll be coming up soon.

The big news for today: It's Primed. Well 1 coat, it still needs another, but I feel like it just might actually happen.

The good news is I'll be able to watch ball games from my window all summer long.

For those who may be wondering yes, I've chosen the wall color, but I'm not telling yet. But I will be showing you Hopefully very, very soon.

Birthday Cake Anyone?

Today is my older sisters birthday. I won't say how old she is, because then it would give people and idea of how old I am. My son and I are heading to store to get cake mix and frosting so he can whip her up a cake. Isn't he sweet?

We've spent the morning debating what kind of cake to make. Niece said to go with Red Velvet. Son was thinking German chocolate. Guess we'll make up his mind once we get to the store.

Just in case she sees this
Happy Birthday Jen!!!!!!!!

New Release

GOOD COP, BAD GIRL

Gotta love a guy who comes with his own handcuffs!

When a hunky cop shows up at Julie Hanson’s apartment to tell her the police received a complaint about the noise from her birthday party, she assumes he’s a male stripper her girlfriends hired. Upon discovering the gorgeous Kirk Chandler really is a police officer, she’s completely mortified, especially since she teased him about giving her a birthday spanking.

Kirk appears at her door for a second time later that night, bearing gifts and asking if she got her birthday spanking. Julie not only gets her bottom nicely warmed, but is treated to a night of pleasure that qualifies as the best birthday present any girl could ask for.

Those Pesky Commas

I'll admit one of my biggest grammer issues is commas. They really don't like me and the feeling is totally mutual.

I'm working on conquering this, so I've been doing some reading and listening. I think I have found the basic problem. Ready? Here goes.

Commas are used to seperate things, also inserted where a person would take a breath. The first I'm good with. The second is the issue.

I come from a big family of 7 kids and 2 parents. I'm the second oldest. In my childhood, and even now as an adult with all the nieces and nephews running around, if you wanted to be heard you talked loud and fast.

Now the loud feature I've gotten under control unless I'm angry. The speed talking however I still tend to do. So to those (many) who have said try reading it out loud and if you need to take a breath add a comma all I can say is:

'I don't need them and if I do there in the wrong place.'

Guess it's easy to say this pesky little punctuation mark and I aren't going to see eye to eye for a while.
